I spent 30 years building a very successful import business, which allowed me to travel extensively through China, Vietnam and Australia. My business was doing well, but I felt unfulfilled, so I hired a staff to manage it and went looking for something special.
I soon went to work for Lincoln Logs Ltd. as a sales representative. I was hooked. I had never done anything in my life that brought me so close to the customer and the fulfillment of their dreams. Selling a log home was very personal, and as each project progressed, I found that I was not only their sales rep, but a part of their family, which was very gratifying. I was eventually promoted to Vice President of the Western Region for Lincoln Logs Ltd. with responsibility for dealer recruitment and training for all states west of the Mississippi River. My focus was to train my dealers for success, which I did. I soon learned that tapping their passion to help our customers reach their dreams of living in a log home was the real key.
Sadly hard times hit, and a housing recession resulted in Lincoln Logs Ltd. filing for Chapter 11 and eventually liquidation. I started to receive calls from the dealers asking “What are we going to do?“
And that’s how CNW Log Homes of America Inc. began. Our company was formed to offer an alternative way for customers to pursue their log home dream without having to shop every company in the country. We have carefully selected log home manufacturers that meet our stringent qualifications for quality products and competitive pricing with exceptional customer service. This allows us the flexibility to supply our customers the value they demand. By working with the professional, experienced and knowledgeable CNW network of dealers, we have removed the shopping burden from the customers' back.

Arrowhead Log Homes Tony and Jeanell Kurpakus Phone: 714-596-7707 www.arrowheadloghomes.net
We had a dream of someday building a vacation home in the local San Bernardino Mountains. During the 1990s we had previously built homes in the Shaver Lake area west of Fresno, California. We considered log and researched several companies, but were unsure if we could afford one. In the summer of 2002 we visited the Anaheim Home and Garden Show. After speaking with a representative at the show, we realized we could make our dream a reality.
Our experience in building our home and our customers' homes can help you make your log home a dream come true. For our model home, we customized a standard floor plan to meet our personal needs and better fit the building site. We broke ground on our project in September 2004.

Log Home Castles Pam and Mark Churness Phone: 760-765-1117 www.loghomecastles.com
Pam’s “Dream” began when she was very young in the trees of many campgrounds. Life continued and so did the “Dream.” A weekend camping trip to our local lake began with the campground being full, inspiring us to purchase property in Julian, California, which led to building a log home, followed by a home business of sharing our log home with others and assisting them in fulfilling their “Dream.” Pam worked in the insurance industry and has a background in family ministry. Mark is a retired firefighter and currently works as a travel agent.
In our search for a log home company, we met Chuck Clark at a home show. He was very attentive. Not only did he pay attention (he says “it doesn’t cost anything to pay attention”), he shared his company’s information and even came from Auburn, California, to Julian to walk our property. During our meetings with Chuck, we decided this would be a fun business as well. We designed our own plan, and Pam supervised our log home project. Our “Dream” is now a “Reality.”
As part of the CNW Log Homes of America Inc. independent dealer network, we will pay attention to the details of your “Dream.” We will show you our home and answer your questions before your spend one penny. We will walk your property and assist with the design, financing, permitting, and contractor bids. We are on-site when your home package arrives to ensure quantity and quality. Should you or your contractor have any questions during the building process, we will be available to assist you. Whether you are going green by building a log home, timber frame home, panelized home, or modular home in California or anywhere in the United States, we would be honored to assist with your journey of bringing your “Dream” to “Reality."

Grapevine Log Homes Jerry and Sugar Shumard Phone: 1-877-393-5647
After spending 40 years in the automotive repair business as both a Chevrolet Certified Mechanic for 14 years and owner of an automotive repair shop for 26 years, my wife Sugar and I retired. Or so we thought! We had always dreamed of owning and building our own log home, which we did in the mountains north of Los Angeles and south of Bakersfield at an elevation of 6,000 feet.
We originally had built our log home as a weekend and vacation home, but once it was complete, we loved the log home lifestyle so much that we moved into it permanently in 2004. We were then approached by Chuck Clark asking if we would be interested in selling log homes. Sugar and I so enjoyed our log home experience that we immediately agreed. We also got involved in the building process, as well. It has been a very rewarding experience.
With the formation of CNW Log Homes of America Inc., we are honored to represent this new company. With state-of-the-art technology and modern day equipment, CNW works with manufacturers who offer the finest quality and workmanship available in the log home industry today. As a result of this efficiency, and the experience of the CNW staff, we are able to deliver a quality product for less money than ever before.
In addition to quality, we at CNW, also can deliver any type of home you may desire -- from stickbuilt homes with any kind of siding, to standard log homes with any type of log profile, to handcrafted homes, to timberframe homes -- you name it !!
We have the personal experience to make your dream home a reality and look forward to serving you in the future.

Peak 7 Log Homes Chuck Standen Phone: 303-567-9050
After 9/11, Chuck Standen and his wife, Colette, made a dramatic career change in their lives. Chuck had built up his Engineering Consulting Company over the past 15 years and Colette had 17 years with United Airlines. Chuck didn't want the stress of the engineering and Colette didn't want to continue traveling for a living. They loaded up their kids, Chas and Chelsea, and ventured on a "soul-searching" motor home trip to figure out what they wanted to be when they grew up.
Chuck's passion has always been home design, and he loves working with his hands. When he was younger, he worked for a builder in Michigan for several years, so he already had a head start on experience building homes and multi-family units. Chuck decided to design and build log homes through his corporation, Peak 7, Inc., and Colette complemented his efforts by getting her real estate license and creating Husky Realty, Inc. This has proven to be a great working relationship between the two corporations.
Peak 7 Log Homes has been in the log home business since 2002. The knowledge and experience constructing log homes affords customers a great log home experience.
Peak 7 was recently awarded the designation of Certified Green Building Professional through the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the University of Housing.
Whether you are interested in a log home package, handcrafted home, milled, hand peeled or D-log, CNW Log Homes Inc. offers a variety of sizes and profiles to suit your needs. When working with Peak 7 and CNW, you are partnered with a winning team. Peak 7 Log Homes welcomes the opportunity to serve you.

Blue Ridge View Inc. Helen and Peter Schultze 107 Log Cabin Road Blairsville, GA 30512 Telephone: 706-745-9171 www.blueridgeviewhomes.com
Peter and I lived in various parts of South America for many years and saw our first log home community in Bariloche, Argentina. At that very moment in time we both said, “One day we will build our own log home.” Little did we know!
We came to the United States in 1978 and built our first log home. Once our dream home was completed, we were so happy that we decided it would be a great idea to help others achieve their dream of building a log home and have been doing so since 1981. Over the years we have helped over 300 families fulfill their dream of living in a log home.
Times do change, and after working for years exclusively with one log home company, we felt the need to be able to offer our prospective customers alternative log home packages from several sources. We joined CNW Log Homes as an independent dealer because of their commitment to the best quality log home material and the ability to secure this at the most competitive price from more than one company.
We believe our success has been due to our willingness to go that extra mile for our customers. Peter and I invite you to give us a call to set an appointment to view our home and discuss your log home ideas. |

Duncanwoods International Log and Timber Homes Ron and Pam Nicolson Phone: 208-689-3395 www.duncanwoodslogtimberhomes.com
After 35 years of traveling around the world with the British Royal Air Force, we finally put down roots in the American Northwest, purchasing property on Lake Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. We started in the log home industry at the same time as building our dream log home, which was completed in 2000. Our quest from the beginning was to assist other dreamers in achieving their goal. It is our mission to provide our clients with a fully integrated package to meet whatever their personal needs may be. We are committed to going the extra mile for our clients.
To be able to serve our clients better, we joined forces with veteran dealer Chuck Clark to form CNW Log Homes of America Inc. — an independent national dealer network representing several manufacturers to offer one of the widest selection and the most comprehensive and competitively priced package in the industry.
We believe that by carefully listening to our clients concepts, we will make their dream home a reality. Our motto is from “Conception to Completion.” |

Hickory Spring Log Homes Bruce Rafoth Phone: 563-923-4675
Bruce and Jean Rafoth had been dreaming about building a log home for quite some time, and in October 2001 they made the decision to make that dream come true by involving everyone in the family. Their daughter and son-in-law (both chiropractors) and their son (a construction engineer) all helped. Bruce is a veterinarian by trade, so as you can see, almost anyone truly can build our home packages! “The Crew” worked mostly weekends.
The Rafoths moved into their new log home in July 2002. Once their home was finished, they wanted to help others find a way to do the same thing. Because they had built their home themselves, they had firsthand knowledge that could help other folks avoid some of the pitfalls they had encountered. As log home dealers, they felt they could be in a much better position to help their customers because "they had been there and done that." Hence Hickory Spring Log Homes became a reality.
Hickory Spring Log Homes decided to join forces with CNW Log Homes because of the flexibility of the company to do what it takes to accomplish the customer's goal and the experienced dealer network that comprises this company. They provide a wealth of information for whatever problem might come up in various areas of the United States.
If you have questions about building a log home, contact Hickory Spring Log Homes. We are more than happy to help you with all your log home questions and concerns.

JB Logcrafters Brian Bisping and Joree Weinstock Phone: (406) 580-7265
Brian Bisping and Joree Weinstock started as regular “stick-frame” housing contractors who had the privilege of helping to design and build a log home. The experience was so pleasurable that they decided to forgo general construction and instead focus entirely on log homes. Then in 2003 the pair began to specialize in building in remote locations. This combined experience of construction and design has helped the two to provide insightful detail, as well as allowing them to be challenged by new concepts put forth by the customer. Since that time more than six years ago, the two have been involved with dozens of projects that brought the dream homes of others into reality. Brian and Joree then took the next step of becoming partnered with a company who shared their high expectations of quality while still being able to meet the customers’ expectations of price, appearance, and functionality. This led them to CNW Log Homes of America, and in 2010 the two became proud dealers for the company in the greater Montana area. JB Logcrafters and CNW Log Homes would gladly invite you to challenge them to meet your needs; no matter the size, location or build profile. |

Gold Valley Log Homes Hank and Pamela Schaffeld Phone: 541-561-8699 www.goldvalleyloghomes.com
Like you, our first step in buying a log home began with research and gathering information. We bought magazines, explored the Web and talked to many log home companies. With many years of experience as a log home owner and builder/dealer, we can assist you with choosing a log home company that meets your needs.
Building a home is often an overwhelming experience, and our mission is to help you throughout the entire process — including design, financing, building permits and hiring contractors. When your log home package arrives, we will help unload and take inventory. If we are not your builder of record, we will work beside your contactor for a couple of days as we begin stacking your logs. We will make periodic visits to answer questions and are always available by phone.
Unlike most log home dealers, as a CNW dealer we are not limited to the product lines of only one manufacturer. We work closely with several log home and timber frame manufacturers that offer the best quality home at the best possible price. If you want a full-scribe log, machined log, solid timer or laminate log in any profile made of cedar, Douglas fir, lodgepole pine, Eastern white pine or spruce, we can help. We can also provide timber frame, panelized and SIP homes.
Pamela and I were raised and still reside in Eastern Oregon with diverse backgrounds including banking, teaching, nursing and, of course, log home construction. We look forward to not only building your home but to building a personal relationship that will last a lifetime. |

Harmony Log Homes Dennis and Debra Phelps John and Kathie Ammar Phone: 435-865-0276 www.harmonyloghomesofutah.com
Dennis began working with log homes in 1994. Dennis was working as a designer and was also involved in constructing log homes. In 2003, Dennis and Debra started Harmony Builders. He became a general contractor, and that led to helping other folks begin their “log home journey” from conception to completion. It was through Harmony Log Homes that Dennis and Debra met John and Kathie Ammar and helped them build their log home in Southern Utah. During this time they became great friends, and the Ammar’s home was completed in 2008.
In 2009 the Phelps and Ammars formed a partnership, Harmony Log Homes and joined CNW Log Homes of America as dealers in Utah. Now the package was complete, Dennis and Debra have a background in log home sales and construction and coupled with Kathie’s extensive real estate background over the past 9 years. (Kathie is licensed in Utah.) Harmony Log Homes can truly offer “one stop shopping” for your land, log home design and purchase, to final construction. Combined with CNW’s commitment to the highest quality log home package at the lowest possible acquisition cost and our commitment to make your log home dream become a reality, we have a winning combination. “We build Harmony as well as Log Homes,” and we would be delighted to work with you. |

Jim Lamke Cascade Building Systems Phone: 206-499-4452
My interest in log home goes back to my school days when I made a small log cabin for a high school wood shop project. In the 1970s I took a class on building log structures with only hand tools, block and tackle and hand saws. I have worked with a couple of different log home suppliers, but never found one that offered the quality products and diversified product lines I was looking for until I was introduced to CNW Log Homes. Because of their affiliations with several different manufacturers, I am assured of having the choice of offering my customers a wide range of wood products from more than one source. After numerous years working in an office and VP of a title insurance company, I realized that my true vocation lay in the construction world. After 20+ years of building, remodeling and expanding my customer base, my meeting with CNW Log Homes could not have been a better match. I am now pleased to be their representative in northwest Washington.
Let us help you with your log home project and turn your log home dream into a reality. |

Steve and Carol Cheeseman learned about log homes by doing research via the Internet, much like many people. Steve spent 12 years in criminal justice before switching careers to real estate, where his interest in the log home industry grew. Steve and Carol started their own business in 2004 helping people relocate from the United Kingdom to Spain after living abroad in Spain themselves. The couple returned to the United Kingdom in 2008, where they are helping more families achieve their dream of building a log home in Europe, particularly in the United Kingdom, France, Spain and Italy. Steve and Carol chose CNW Log Homes as their log home company because of the diverse product lines and ability to work through more than one log home producer. The Cheesemans specialize in the unique complications that can occur when building a home in a foreign country, including obtaining local government approval and building permits. They currently have a log home model in Spain and are planning a second one in the North of England. |
